JEWELRY CARE

Wearing solid gold jewelry, white gold or yellow gold, in the shower will not harm the metal itself, however it can reduce the shine therefore it is not recommended.

Maintaining the brilliance of gold and diamonds requires regular care. Clean jewelry gently with a soft toothbrush and mild soapy water, paying attention to intricate settings. Store pieces separately in soft pouches, avoid exposure to harsh chemicals, and consider periodic professional cleaning to ensure longevity and radiance.

JEWELRY CARE

SILVER - Sterling silver is an alloy containing not less than 92.5% silver content.

To prevent your silver from oxidizing, we recommend you do not swim, bathe, or shower in your jewelry.  With all sterling silver jewelry orders, we provide a polishing cloth to maintain the finish of your piece. Storing your jewelry in a dust bag or box, with the polishing cloth, will prevent unwanted tarnish. If tarnishing does occur, gently clean your jewelry with the provided polishing cloth.

GOLD VERMEIL- A traditional technique of plating sterling silver with gold that originated in France in the 18th century.  All of our gold vermeil pieces are coated with 18 karat gold.

Gold vermeil jewelry requires special care.  Tarnishing of gold vermeil is natural and should be expected to occur.  The extent of tarnishing depends on various factors, including, among other things, individual body chemistry, humidity in the environment, frequency of use, and care.

Vermeil jewelry should be removed prior to bathing, showering, washing hands, swimming, exercising, and applying perfume, hairspray, or lotion, as exposure to moisture or chemicals may cause tarnishing to occur faster.

If your gold vermeil jewelry needs to be cleaned, avoid all chemical cleaners.  A 100% cotton or microfiber cloth is best for cleaning gold vermeil jewelry.

We offer a replating service for a fee.
